Lost and Old River (Sign on the highway)
Lost River is an old channel of the lower Trinity, abandoned by the restless river before the area was settled. The meandering, tree-lined Old River, also an abandoned channel, begins in Liberty County and flows southeasterly to Old River Lake and ultimately into Trinity
T: Stopped at Buckees in Bastrop, TX around noon. Ate lunch in SeeMore. Mama Cat was ready to go potty and have some food and water. CHECK FOR FALLING EGGS BEFORE YOU OPEN THE FRIDGE DOOR.

T Barry rolled quarters at Paradise RV --- $200 worth -- and we paid for our RV spot in Austin with the quarters.
T: Ate supper at the Picnic Food Court. Barry tried falaffles, which he did not care for, but go some good hummus and good fried tofu. Then we had some Thai style ice cream and took a walk & went to Thom's grocery. Mama Cat did fine in the R.V. We were initially each going to get an ice cream but the servings were so big that we decided to share. I had fun at Thom's grocery --- bought a card for Barry for Valentine's Day.

Cosmic Coffee
Leroy & Lewis --- we didn't really find this so we went back to where we went last night. We may not have made it to the most famous food trucks, but we had good food and we had a good day.
We started the day at the Farmer's Market, downtown. They had some special meat but we didn't stock up --- freezer space. We bought some bacon, lots of pastries, a Thai meal kit, and I bought a ring made by Stone's Throw Studio. I dropped my wallet twice. Barry noticed it once and the next customer in line at the Thai meal place noticed it the second time.
Facebook found out I was in Austin & told me about Wonderspaces and since it was cold and rainy, we went there and had a good time.
Had lunch at Salt & Time. Saw lots of parts of downtown Austin. Barry noticed all the people walking, neighborhood like. I wondered what it would be like to live in an atmosphere that is reportedly so different from where we are.

Bee Cave
Bee Cave was named by early settlers for a large cave of wild bees found near the site. A post office opened there under the name Bee Caves in 1870.[23] The city was incorporated in 1987.[24]
Lighthouse Hill Ranch
This building caught our eye way down the road. I can't remember whether I used Googe Maps or Google Earth to identify it. https://www.lighthousehillranch.com/

We drove near White Rock Canyon.
Hualapai Nations; Music Mountains. (I haven't found out how the mountains got their name).
Barry saw a coyote running across the road.
We saw Burma Shave signs.
When we stopped to get gas at the beginning of Route 66, it was snowing. The cashier wished us a snowtastic day.

Had brunch at our taco place in Sonora.
Barry tried Menudo and liked it. Our server said she uses a menudo mix when she makes it.
I saw big birds perched in the trees --- broad white chests. Gray head & wings and black feathers. About ten of them, stretched out over several miles. I tried to get a picture. We'll see.
